Live music at the Winter market 9th December 2017
Already as an annual performance we can call The Park Lane Choir Performance at the Winter market. Ms Amy Dowdell and Ms Melynka Rezgui prepared again with their revelers three beautiful Christmas songs and introduced the best choir singers as the soloists.
What was totally new to Winter market was the performance of four Park Lane bands and vocal ensemble based from Y10 and 11 students. We heard, enjoyed and also danced on nine famous rock songs played by The Heroes - band of our smallest musicians Honzik Dudak and Kuba Hanausek; The Tyreless and Battalion Daylight - our Y8 bands; The Secondary rock band and our band Matchmakers On Strike with our most advanced musicians, singers and entertainers from Y11. I am really a fan of rock music thanks to all my wonderful musicians. So ... if you missed it don't forget to come next year!

A wonderful morning full of music.
All secondary students, their teachers and myself had a very pleasant music assembly on Friday morning. As our school music orientation is mostly to rock and pop music, this Winter assembly was already second time dedicated to classical music.
We had opportunity to enjoy piano music played by Charlotte Comstock, Vasek Hraba and Sonia Furlong, the violins were singing in Tereza Hrabova hands, on the same instrument played her farewell to Park Lane our winner of COBIS music competition 2017 Lydia Kirschenbaum, our new Vocal ensemble gave us a trust that a new star was born. We recorded Emma Novakova and Max Bebr IGCSE course work. Their instruments are piano and drum kit and Paul Popovich - fantastic guitar player and Sebastian Voita brilliant pianist supported them in their group performances, so this time we heard a bit of famous jazz piece as well.
All the musicians impressed me with their sensitivity, technical skills and deep understanding of music. All the audience - KS3 and 4 students created a really Christmas and festive atmosphere.
